The ultra-fast journey around driving VR in the Enterprise continues. Just days before Christmas there were two major new releases:

  • Workspace ONE XR Hub 23.11
  • SimpleXR 23.11 (known as ConQuest)

In addition I had the opportunity to play around with Meta Quest for Business, which allows seamless Enterprise integration of VR Headsets such as the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro in a company context, fully integrated with your Identity and Access Management and your Endpoint Management Solution of choice.

But one after the other… To take a look at all three topics, I’ll split posts up into a small series of three blog posts.

Let’s start with the first one:

Workspace ONE XR Hub 23.11

Few more details around the updates and new features:

  1. UEM Logging Integration:
You can send Logs from XR Hub directly to the UEM Console where the admin can pull and review these Logs.
    • Send Logs from the XR Hub Menu
  • Pull Logs from the Workspace ONE UEM Console
  • Review Logs offline

2. Intelligence Integration:
The Intelligence SDK was integrated to XR Hub, which means that we can now collect metrics around the usage, performance, crashes and overall experience of XR Hub.

  • You can see the device itself of course in Intelligence:
  • You can see the XR Hub application in Intelligence:
  • But foremost this also means that you can integrate XR Hub in automations, reports, dashboards etc. of any kind. You will also see update events (failed/successful) and related trends. E.g. see from the App dashboard information about recent update events:
  • Search for the XR Hub App

You can find instructions on how to set up the integration of XR Hub to Workspace ONE Intelligence [HERE].

3. HTC VIVE tutorial video access from the XR Hub Menu
Allow the user the ability to launch original device tutorial supplied by the headset from a menu within XR Hub. Clicking the menu item launches the device tutorial.

4. Support for Pico CloudXR client with XR Hub
The client decodes and renders content that is streamed from the CloudXR server and collects motion and controller data from the VR headset that is sent to the CloudXR server.

5. Meta Quest 3 Support
Last but not least, XR Hub being fully tested and certified for the Meat Quest 3 headset.

Intelligence and UEM Log integration are the exciting new features, adding great core capabilities and lifting XR Hub another step higher from an Enterprise perspective. Stay tuned, there’s more to come…
